Do Chuck and Nancy show a lack of empathy for those same folks for not


having put forth a compromise that could pass both houses and be signed by POTUS or overcome a veto? Was their press conference described as "rambling"? Could you even imagine WaPo describing them as such? I think that's the point, that their "reporting" (and story selection) is indeed affected and dictated by their bias.

Was Obama showing a lack of empathy for all those unemployed folks when black, Hispanic, women, coal miners, manufacturing jobs, etc UE was higher? Is Trump described as empathetic because he's taken active steps to improve those metrics? Why wouldn't the latter be viewed as the more empathetic person, at least to "those with eyes"?

Again, no one is claiming Fox isn't the exact inverse, only that WaPo and others, while maybe not as egregious, are no different in terms of letting their bias dictate how they report and select news stories, and how they let it cloud their objectivity.
